Seasonal Photosynthesis and Carbon Assimilation of Dynamics in a Zelkova serrata (Thunb.) Makino Plantation

As anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions intensify global climate change, plantations have become an important tool to mitigate atmospheric CO2. Our aim in this study was estimate carbon assimilation and clarify the impact of environmental factors on photosynthesis Zelkova serrata (Thunb.) Makino, plantation species that is extensively planted low altitude regions East Asia. We measured monthly exchange parameters leaf area index assimilation. The results showed significantly affected by vapor pressure deficit temperature, especially dry season, both photosynthetic rate decreased. Lower daytime higher nighttime respiration during which caused a 43% decrease Z. plantations. exhibited lower following planting tropical monsoon area.
